SUPPORTING TEAM EMILY
This site has been set up to provide support to Emily, Mike, Laura and Anna Gillespie as Emily undergoes treatment for a rare cancer called leiomyosarcoma. There is a link above to the family's CaringBridge site which will provide updates on Emily's care and treatment. The other pages on this site are meant to offer supporters ideas for what would be most helpful to the Gillespie family throughout treatment. So many people have said, "Let us know what we can do to help." And when a diagnosis is new, it can be hard for a family to even know WHAT they need. Now that Emily has settled into a treatment plan (see Emily's Story), it is easier to start to assemble a list of needs.
GILLESPIE STRONG
The Gillespie family is strong in many ways. They are all strong physically. Days are filled with gymnastics, ninja training, running, biking, Taekwondo and more! They are also mentally and physically strong. All of these will work in their favor as they navigate this time of treatment for Emily. They give to their family, friends and community regularly. Even the strongest family can use support, especially at times like this. Now is our opportunity to be strong for them... "Gillespie Strong."
